YOGA BRUNCH CLUB RETREAT

Friday 6th November- Sunday 8th November 2020

‘Thank you for such a fantastic time, honestly it was the most focussing, relaxing and inspiring weekend!’ Kim

After October’s sell out retreat I am delighted to announce that the Yoga Brunch Club retreat will be returning to the stunning Poundon House in November.

It is the perfect opportunity to escape to countryside surrounded by 6 acres of beautiful land, with single room options, and plenty of space to carve out sometime for yourself.

This is very much a retreat open to all levels.  If you have just taken a couple of classes and have always wanted to go on a retreat but never made the leap, or you have been practicing yoga for years, this is the perfect time to join me for a weekend of relaxation,  time to unwind, learn something new, eat delicious nourishing food, chat and meet new people.

Food is as key to the weekend as the yoga, I am thrilled to welcome back the brilliant chef and caterer Rebecca Rhodes- Evans who I have collaborated with on numerous events and retreats.

There will be time for long walks, cups of tea sat by the fire, or moments curled up with a good book, and most importantly to treat yourself to sometime away.

Hosted in the peaceful surroundings of Poundon House for a weekend of yoga, relaxation and nourishing food.

Daily Yoga

There will be daily yoga practices (5 in total )led by Clem Balfour and Katy Bateman.

Yoga will take place with a reduced size retreat group to support social distancing so we will have lots of space to move around and feel safe and relaxed while you practice.

Saturday and Sunday will start with a 90mins morning yoga class that will begin gently, progressing into a more dynamic flow, invigorating and waking up the body. There will be an optional inversion workshop, so you can have the time to learn how to get in and fall out of poses and have fun with it.

Gentler evening Yoga will explore asanas and breathing techniques, working with yin yoga and more restorative self practice, helping to refine awareness and prepare you for a good nights sleep.

The weekend will build from one day to the next, enabling the group to make progress in their practice with a toolbox of skills that they can take back home with them.

What you’ll be eating

If you have been to a Yoga Brunch Club before you will know that the food is just as important as the yoga and we take pride in the food that is provided.

Having always been obsessed with breakfast, Rebecca started out selling luxury granola bowls at Druid street market in Bermondsey. These beautiful bowls quickly gained popularity among health conscious hungry Londoners. Fast forward three years and Rock My Bowl now caters for private events all around London from Instagram, Pinterest, Liberty, Browns Fashion, Tommy Hilfiger, Elemis, WeWork to name a few and have built great relationships. With a focus on seasonal, plant based food, grains and seeds. Rebecca’s food is beautiful, nourishing and meant to be a feast for the eyes and the body. It’s food thats meant to be shared and lingered over.

The stay includes 2 hearty suppers, a wholesome lunch and 2 nourishing brunches, plus plenty of snacks, tea, coffee and Rebecca’s signature Rock My Bowl granola to sample over the weekend. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies when booking so that we can take these into consideration when planning the menus.

Rebecca Rhodes-Evans

Rebecca is the founder of boutique catering company Rock My Bowl. Specialising in creating bespoke menus for intimate and larger gatherings.

“When I became a mum it became even more obvious to me how important this first meal of the day is. Sometimes, juggling everything meant that I wouldn't eat my lunch until almost dinner time so my breakfast had to be substantial and filling but, most importantly, delicious! As a regular exerciser I have always been interested in food as fuel and I have spent a lot of time understanding how to give your body the nourishment and nutrients it needs to function. All too often these foods can be bland when there is so much around to make it sensational”

Three years on Rock My Bowl has been privileged to cater private events for Instagram, Pinterest, Liberty, Browns Fashion, Tommy Hilfiger, Elemis, WeWork to name a few and have built great relationships.

Rock My Bowl’s food is unfussy, nourishing and beautifully presented. A feast for the eyes and the body. It’s food thats meant to be shared and lingered over.

Clem Balfour

Clem’s main aim is to make you feel relaxed and welcome as soon as you join her practice. You won’t find any pretzel poses here, Clem aims to teach you how to build a deeper connection with the breath, striving towards moving in a way that feels good, rather than looks good.

With a strong passion for fluid vinyasa flows that create a delicious heat in the body, and at the same time balancing this out with a slower, softer yin practice. Clem’s sessions are there to help balance out your energy so you can experience the effects of yoga both for your body and your mind.

Realising early on how intimidating yoga can be to people, so as a food obsessed yogi Clem merged two of her loves: food and yoga, founding the Yoga Brunch Club. Running hugely popular events and retreats that take place in beautiful venues, collaborating with brilliant chefs in London, Bristol and now online.

When she’s not teaching, she’s exploring the various food and brunch offerings around Bristol, always on the hunt for a new collaboration, delicious meal or beautiful space to practice yoga.
